A probe sonicator, also called an ultrasonic processor or ultrasonic homogenizer, delivers focused, high-intensity ultrasonic energy straight into a liquid sample through a titanium probe. A bath spreads gentle energy through the whole liquid and suits cleaning and indirect processing. A probe focuses intense energy into a small sample, giving a far higher power density at the tip. Probe sonicators are for sample processing, not cleaning.
Yes. Use pulse mode (for example 5 s on / 5 s off) and an ice bath to limit the temperature rise. For controlled temperature, pair the probe with our sonicator chiller unit.
