SMT stencil cleaning is one of the highest-frequency maintenance tasks in PCB assembly. Every stencil used for solder paste printing must be thoroughly cleaned before storage or reuse — blocked apertures cause insufficient paste deposits, leading to open circuits, tombstoning, and BGA voids. Manual wiping with IPA takes 15–30 minutes per stencil and still leaves paste residue in fine-pitch apertures below 0.4mm pitch.
