During injection moulding, degraded polymer, release agent and gas residue build up in cavities, vents and cooling channels. This causes flash, sink marks and short shots, and eventually means downtime. Manual cleaning with abrasives or picks is slow and damages polished cavity surfaces. No. Cavitation removes deposits without abrasion. The power controller lets you reduce intensity for highly polished or textured surfaces.
In most cases, no. Complete mould halves, inserts and cores go straight into the tank, which cuts downtime compared with manual cleaning.
The mould is first heated in a hot-water chamber with air agitation to loosen deposits, then finished in the ultrasonic chamber. It is used for heavily contaminated injection moulds.
The standard tank is 24" × 18" × 12". We build larger tanks and add hoists for heavy moulds.
